No recovery, no fee. Flat $75 diagnostic, paid up front. If I can't recover your files, that's all you pay. If I can, you see the file list before you commit to the recovery fee.
Your original drive is never touched. Every job starts with a sector-by-sector forensic image of your drive. All recovery work happens on the clone. Your original goes home exactly the way you brought it in — and you keep the option to send it to a clean-room lab as a last resort.
Drives that are physically broken: clicking, not spinning up, no power, smelling burnt, dropped in water. Those need a clean-room lab. I'll tell you that on the first call and refer you to a reputable one.
I'm Ryan Roupe. I hold a Master's in Digital Forensics from UCF and have spent 24 years in IT, currently as a Systems Engineer at the University of Central Florida.
This is my evenings-and-weekends practice — the kind of job that takes a few days of careful work on the right tools, run by someone with formal training in how to handle digital evidence and recover data without making things worse.
If you've ever heard "we'll just plug it in and see" from a repair shop, that's the opposite of what I do.

Flat $75 diagnostic, paid up front. Recovery fee is quoted before any recovery work starts, typically $200 to $500 depending on difficulty. No recovery, no recovery fee.
Most jobs finish in 2 to 5 days. Severely damaged drives can take a week or more. Urgent jobs may be possible — ask on the first call.
Yes. I work on a forensic image, not your original drive. Recovered data lives on encrypted storage and is securely wiped 30 days after you have it back. I never look at content beyond what's needed to verify the recovery worked.
The diagnostic covers imaging the drive and scanning it — real work and real time, whether or not recovery succeeds. The recovery fee is the part that's contingent on outcome.
No — clicking usually means a head crash or motor failure. That needs a clean-room lab with specialized equipment. I'll refer you to a reputable one. Don't keep powering it on; every spin-up risks more damage.
If the phone is working, you don't need me — use the manufacturer's tools. If the phone's storage is on a removable SD card and the card is the problem, yes. Phone internal storage requires chip-off work that I don't do.
Card, Venmo, Zelle, or cash. Invoice with a secure payment link sent before pickup.
Yes — general liability coverage through RDR Innovations, LLC. Your no-recovery-no-fee terms are additional protection: you only pay the recovery fee if it actually worked.
